Boston Children’s Hospital Early Intervention (EI) at Martha Eliot provides family centered services to support the developmental progress of eligible children. EI is a program for infants and toddlers younger than 3 years old who have developmental delays or are at risk of a developmental delay. EI:

- Helps infants and toddlers learn skills and develop independence
- Uses individualized activities that fit into the child’s and family’s everyday life.
- Is not reaching expected developmental milestones
- Has certain conditions that may result in a developmental delay
- Has a history that may impact their development
- EI is primarily a home/community based program providing a team approach to service delivery.
- Developmental evaluations to determine eligibility
- Visits at a child’s home, childcare or other community setting
- Play Groups
