Her entry into health care came from her position as the Massachusetts' Commissioner of Division of Medical Assistance where she directed the state's Medicaid program. She has held legal positions in both the state and federal governments, and, early in her career, was a trial attorney at the firm of Hill and Barlow. Wendy has a JD from Yale University and Bachelor's Degree from Brown University. Wendy is dedicated to increasing the access children and families have to Boston Children’s by establishing relationships with other providers that enhance the quality of pediatric specialty services provided in a manner that is affordable and sustainable.

She is especially interested in developing a more systemic approach to pediatric care in the Northeast. Wendy is a key partner in the development of Boston Children’s third party payer strategies and alternative payment models, including the enhancement of Boston Children’s accountable care initiatives, and is involved in influencing payment reform agendas at the state and national levels. She is also the lead on the enterprise’s strategic planning work.
