Philosophy of Care

Caring for children is a privilege, and I'm very thankful for the opportunity to help children and their families.

Dr. Colyn Watkins grew up in Wisconsin where he completed high school and enjoyed both sports and the outdoors. For college, he moved east to attend Princeton University where he prepared for a career in medicine. Dr. Watkins completed his medical degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia before moving to Boston. He completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Program, and went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric othopaedic surgery at Boston Children's Hospital.

Dr. Watkins clinical focus is children and young adults with neuromuscular conditions. His unique interests and skillset allow him to be part of the both the Cerebral Palsy Program as well as the Spina Bifida Program at Boston Children's Hospital, where he treats hip and lower extremity conditions and orthopaedic trauma.
