On Friday, November 15, 2019 the Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC) at Boston Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will host the fifth and final Boston-wide Neurodevelopmental Disorders Symposium in the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. This symposium will highlight the groundbreaking work that has come out of Boston autism collaborations and set the stage for the future of autism research in our community.
This conference, sponsored by the Anne and Paul Marcus Family foundation, is open to scientists and physicians from academia, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, disease-based foundations, and the government and will include distinguished speakers, a breakout discussion on the future of autism research and poster reception.
This year's all-day event will feature successful collaborations that arose from the Boston Autism Community, including joint efforts by Charles Nelson, BCH/Mark Bear, MIT and Isaac Kohane, HMS/Mustafa Sahin, BCH.
Our Keynote Address will be given by Joseph Buxbaum, Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Capstone Event In addition to our regular agenda, this year the symposium will feature a novel breakout session entitled "Laying Seeds for the Future" in which participants will have the opportunity to debate the future of neurodevelopmental research and establish the new collaborations with key opinion leaders in the field.

The Translational Neuroscience Center (TNC) at Boston Children's Hospital will host its symposium entitled Paving the Way to Transformative Therapies in Neuroscience at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The Symposium is open to scientists and physicians from academia, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, disease-based foundations, and government.
The TNC was launched in January of 2013 as a collaborative effort by the Children's Hospital departments and divisions of Developmental Medicine, Genetics and Genomics, Neurology, Neurobiology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry to accelerate efficient translation of new ideas from today's science into effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cures for pediatric nervous system disorders.
