What to bring to your appointment

Patients with an appointment with the VAC clinic or a VAC clinician should bring the following items with them, or send them in prior to the appointment:

• Any relevant medical records
• Imaging studies (e.g., MRI, CT, ultrasound, venograms). This information could be in the form of actual films or computerized studies saved on a CD. CD studies must be saved in either DICOM or efilm format.
• Paper reports for all imaging studies.

Diagnostic tests

Depending on your child's possible diagnosis, we may perform one or more of the following during your visit:

• Computed tomography (CT)
• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
• Ultrasonography
• Angiography
• Biopsy and microscopic diagnosis
• Endoscopic examination
