Donations & Community Outreach

Due to precautions around COVID-19, we’re unable to accept any tangible in-kind donations for the remainder of 2020 (including homemade items, store-bought items, and items purchased online or from our Amazon wish list).

Support our patients and families this holiday season by hosting a virtual toy drive (ask friends and family to make a monetary donation instead of donating a toy). You’ll help us stock playrooms, purchase unique items for patients, and provide support to families — especially during the holiday season. For questions, reach out to

THANK YOU so much for your continued support of Boston Children’s Hospital. Your thoughtfulness is so important to our patients and families.

  • Due to privacy and infection control policies, we unfortunately cannot have donors up to the floors to distribute gifts. However, we are happy to meet you in the main lobby to accept your donation.
  • All items must be brand new and cannot be gift wrapped; please no identifying stickers on items.
  • Due to infection control we are not able to distribute greeting cards to patients and families. If you are interested in sending your words of encouragement please consider following this link to our electronic cards that are displayed throughout the hospital.

Our primary goal is to ensure Boston Children's patients at our main campus and satellite locations receive donated gifts, however, if we receive more than we can use at Boston Children's, we would like to share the joy with other Boston-area medical facilities and charitable organizations.

Thank you so much for your continued support! Please reach out to Child Life Services at with any questions.

Warm Wishes,
Child Life Services at Boston Children’s Hospital

The Eversource Walk for Boston Children's Hospital helps fund the exceptional care and groundbreaking research that are synonymous with Boston Children's. In light of the uncertainty around COVID-19, this year’s walk is moving to a virtual format. Any time from June 6-14, you can do your walk from home. Your walk can be anything you want it to be — a family walk through your neighborhood or around your house, a backyard obstacle course, a dance party in your living room. On June 14, join us for a virtual celebration on the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital Facebook page. Visit to register and email with questions. You can restrict the money you raise to support the Child Life Program too!
