Donating blood made easier!
Give where you live or work by hosting a Boston Children’s Bloodmobile drive! The Bloodmobile travels to businesses, high schools, and communities throughout Eastern Massachusetts.
All of the whole blood units collected on our Bloodmobile and in our Boston donor center is used for pediatric patients receiving treatment at Boston Children’s. One adult donation can support up to four young patients. We call it Giving Pints for Half-Pints.
A minimum of 40 donor appointments are needed to host a Bloodmobile visit.
The Bloodmobile is considered an extension of the hospital, and all staff and donors are required to wear a mask on the Bloodmobile.
The new Boston Children's Bloodmobile is 42 feet long and comes equipped with three health history rooms and five donor beds.
Many Bloodmobile drives are held in honor or memory of a patient.
